JIMCO invests in Breakout Ventures’ US$ 114 million Fund III

JIMCO, the global investment arm of the Jameel family, has invested in Breakout Ventures Fund III, a US$ 114 million venture fund focused on backing founder-led companies unlocking the complexity of science with technology.

Since its launch in 2016, Breakout Ventures has partnered with exceptional founders to scale scientific innovation and build breakout companies. Fund III will continue this track record of investing in seed-stage companies at the frontier of science and technology.

The fund is already being deployed, with initial investments in companies developing new AI-enabled platforms and technologies to accelerate scientific discovery and commercialization:

  • Reach Industries: Serial founder-led startup building the visual intelligence layer for regulated environments using agentic computer vision
  • Stealth Co: Industry veteran-founded newco reducing friction between discovery and market by unlocking commercial distribution of scientific innovations
  • Stealth Co: Spinout from the University of Chicago accelerating functional small molecule discovery with computationally enhanced chemical analysis

The commitment reflects JIMCO’s strategy of backing venture platforms and founders advancing transformative science and deep technologies, including through the application of AI.

JIMCO participated alongside leading investors including Cortes Capital, S-Cubed Capital, The Kraft Group, Pinegrove Venture Partners, an affiliate of LH Capital and Korea Omega Investment Corporation.
